I was in Glasgow last week-end and expected to pick up Batman: Dynamic Duo. It was released in the States last Wednesday which usually means that we get it on the Thursday. But after going the rounds of the shops it was clear that it had not arrived. I week later I have phones round a number of stores and it has not arrived this week either.

Has it reached the UK yet or is it just Scotland that has missed this volume?

No Dynamic Duo in London either - we are the deprived poor relations in the UK.

It's because of the French and the Germans.

My friendly neighbourhood South London comic store owner is trying to contact Diamond to find out why the hold-up, but as she says, "they're next-to-bloody-useless most of the time."
It would be a little premature to blame the current frisson between world leaders for what may be old fashioned distributor negligence - never look for a conspiracy until you've ruled out incompetence.

Best to order direct from America, I do it all the time!

I recommend Tales of Wonder, check out the website:
www.talesofwonder.com

(apologies if we're not allowed to plug comic dealers here).

Tales of Wonder works out about £1 - £2 cheaper for an archive than my local comic shop, even with the discount I get for long and faithful custom, and I kind of feel I'd rather put the business the shop's way. i've bought a few hardcovers from ToW, though, most recently the three Graphitti Frank Miller Daredevil volumes and signed Walt Simonson Thor. It's very bad for my bank balance to have access to a cheap(ish) source of hardcovers...

Well I got lucky in central London today, the shop that I normally visit had one copy put aside for standing order customers. I was fortunate to be one of the first regulars to visit and definitely the first to enquire - so I got the only copy. I looked in another shop on the way back to the office - they hadn't got any copies.

It hasn't arrived in my neck of the woods either!

Wish I knew what the problem is with this.
Did Diamond UK not get copies?

I was in Glasgow again on Saturday and they said that they had received "a few" copies and that they had sold out immediately. They expected to get more copies "soon".

It finally turned up at my Hampshire store today (Thursday), so it looks like it's now freely available in the UK.
